What I bring to the KPPCSD
Openmindedness is one of the most valuable traits I bring to my role as a Director. I don’t come to things with a predetermined outcome. I listen to experts and various points of view, I follow the facts and make my best judgment. My guiding star is common sense. How do we provide the highest value of services with the tax base that we have.
Body-worn cameras in Kensington -- it's done!
People may not realize that the KPD now requires our officers to wear body-worn cameras ... for the safety of residents and our police. If you're interested in hosting a Zoom call with voters in your neighborhood, contact my campaign. It's through conversations like these that we get the word out and build community.
Today I filed papers and am officially a candidate for the KPPCSD Board 2020. The Board governs our police, parks, and sanitation. It is responsible for so many critical issues that impact our daily lives and are in today's headlines: police reform, public health, and the environment. Please consider re-electing me to this important office with your vote in November! And vote early to make sure your vote counts!
Can our KPD be anti-racist?
How are our officers trained to respond when citizens call the police against other citizens "just for being black?" What defines suspicious behavior?
